Recently my poor old PS3 (and i do mean old) finally died. Since then i have been forced to get my gaming fix by playing an xbox 360 *shudders*. Unfortunately the xbox doesnt have dust so i have been having major withdrawals and have been forced to turn to games like battle field (bleah) and minecraft *snores*. Sooo.... anyone want to tell me about anything i may have missed or about something cool they did in dust?

Overlord thinks you've blocked him cause you've not been online.
Bolt pistols are now lethal and dropships aren't invincible.
Nobody wants to play with my swarmies as much now - they keep running away from me :(
PFFT those pansy assed pilots always ran away from swarms anyways so thats nothing new lol. And no i havent blocked anyone i just cant get on my PS3 cause it died. Honestly damn thing should have died a year ago but thanks to youtube and some thermal paste i was able to extend its life. As for dropships i love flying those things and they were squishy to begin with so it wont bother me if they are a bit extra squishy. And bolt pistols must be the flavor of the month so in about 3-6 months it will get nerfed lol.

Lol im a heavy, logi, scout, sniper, tanker, pilot etc etc. Trust me just because they nerf one thing doesnt mean i dont have something else i can use thats just as good. Only thing i never bothered to spec into was sidearms. Never really use them except when i run out of ammo on my main weapon so sidearms were never a priority to spec into. But im sure by the time i get back i will have a nice wad of SP to use up on something.

Well if your sniping then might i suggest a fit for you? I was using it before the update so it should be rather beastly now.
Caldari Commando Suit
Tactical Sniper (any tier)
Assault Rifle (any tier)
Complex Ferroscale Armor Plate
Complex shields
Enhanced damage mod (If i remember correctly i couldnt fit complex on the suit)
Nanohives (any type just as back up so you dont run out of ammo)
I was having fun with that fit at least til my PS3 died *sigh*.

Dude i live on an extremely limited income (disability) so believe me when i say i CAN NOT afford a PS4 or even a brand new PS3. And something tells me i wont be able to find one at my local pawn shop tomorrow for a cheap price. Seems like everyone is intent on selling the damn things for couple hundred bucks even though they really arent worth more than $50 these days.

The only forms of av i respect are particle cannons and forges in that order because swarms are for ***** scrubs. 
Lol which means swarms kill your ship more often than you would really like so now i know when i see you piloting exactly what i should use to destroy you :P. Never tell someone what you hate in game (especially me) they will just use it anyways to **** you off. I love using swarms they are fun and i have killed more than my fair share of birds with it. Not only that but it deters pilots from going to the same area over and over they eventually get tired of being killed or almost being killed and eventually give up the fight. So yeah swarms are awesome!!

Protect me Knight (cute xbox mini/ indie game. fun with friends or to waste half an hour).
I have got Halo Reach but not those other games.
And it kind of defeats the purpose of trying to buy a PS3 if i spend all my cash buying games for a system i dont even want to play.
I greatful for the thought but no i wont be buying any games for xbox and i certainly wont spend money to play any of them online. Just gonna keep looking for a cheap PS3 and hope that i come across one sooner rather than later.

I buy broken ones off craigslist and ebay and repair them You said you know how so it shouldnt be much of an issue. :) You can usually get 3 -4 for around $75 and end up with 1 good and sometimes 2 which you can make your money back on. :)
$75 bucks is a bit pricey for me honestly. And the only reason my PS3 isnt working is because it needs a rebaling which i have no intention of doing that and a new BR disc drive. Its just cheaper for me to find one working PS3 and use it til it dies then take all those parts and make one more out of them.

Have you tried taking the power pack out the shell and re-thermal pasting it, then running it with power pack out the box? It works for Aeon. Both our ps3s are repair jobs. My flat is full of thermal paste and play-station-fixing paraphernalia. Are you getting another PS3? Your presence in the redline is missed!
Thats the problem my PS3 isnt just any old PS3. its a 40GB fatty or was til i upgraded the HDD so long ago. Thepower pack isnt actually the problem the mother board is just old and has that lovely crappy sodder that eventually gets old and cracks. And the Blueray drive over heats to a point of no return. Actually it overheats so much that i couldnt keep the PS3 on for more than an hour in its final days of life. I used thermal paste and thermal pads and even played with the cover off the PS3 and it just wouldnt stay on for more than an hour at a time. And then it just died. Its literally one of the First PS3 that was sold on the market in the US so the fat that it lasted this long when so many other peoples had died along time ago is a good thing. I cleaned it on a regular basis to get dust out of it and just kept it as well maintained as i could. As for a new PS3 i cant exactly afford a new PS3. It will have to be used that will probably die in a year. And thats if i can find one for $50 that works. Cause honestly thats all i can afford specially if i want to eat this month.

I wouldnt be getting a PS3 solely for Dust actually. I have about 300 PS1, PS2 and PS3 games that i would like to still play so it wouldnt be just for dust it would be so that i can play all my games. As for the sniper range i think 350m is too short. I have done alot of sniping even before the change and i always felt that the optimal sniper range would be 450m simply because of rendering and draw back issues. not to mention all that whining for people who dont like redline snipers. And honestly you cant blame the snipers since its a design flaw in the map rather than a mechanic in the weaponry. As for the thales decreased zoom that was indeed a much needed change although when i can play again (assuming they dont nerf or buff it even more) i will have to truely test it out but so far from my past experience of the Thales and snipers in general the range nerf on snipers is bogus and the zoom nerf on the thales was much needed. OH no one has told me about the nanite injector! did they give it the buff they were discussing? And if so how is it working?

Not really i just dont like throwing gay specially since i paid money for them. And selling them to gamestop or some other store would be just like throwing them away since they hardly give you anything for them and then resell them at ridiculous prices. Besides i have been gaming for 30 years now so im bound to have collected a game or two.

Agreed Dust was at its peak back in beta. Back then the most complaints you read or made on the forums was about bugs and glitches. Balancing wasnt even a topic of discussion. 1) because people were still getting used to the game and 2) because the weapons worked so well and seemed so balanced back then. I miss the beta days and wish CCP would put out a PVE version of the game people could play solo with all the old maps and weapon and gear statistics.

Did you just seriously type that after crossing your fiingers in real life? OMG you did didnt you! lol thanks hopefully the local pawn has one i can get real cheap. If not i will be stuck playing xbox with nothing more than halo reach, bayonetta, mirrors edge and minecraft.

Now that Swarms are buffed, people are running them more than ever yet before the buff if they had ran the same amount of AV they wouldn't have had a problem.
Swarm spamming. Me likey! Seriously though maybe its a good thing and maybe it will deter the massive tank and ADS spamming i was so used to seeing. But only time will tell and im guessing like most things people will tire of them rather quickly.
